• New endpoint to download a project's organization logo GET /projects/{project_id}/logo endpoint.
• Add data model for Shear Vane Test (SVT) data. Support importing SVT files in SGF format and GeoSuite files (*.VB). For now, the data is not shown in the web application, but is coming soon.

Fix

• Fix an issue for pdf static plot export related to page numbering.
• Fix crash for static plots when CPT data is all nan for one key (like `qc`, ' fs`, or `u2`).

• Small, but important, improvement in the map view. You can now show/hide the location table using the new "locations"-button in the top left corner.

Breaking Change in the API

A project's height system is changed from an integer to a string:

Fix

 Improved Project Page for Mobile View

This improvement gives more space for the map as well as easier access to location table.

The release includes:

Location Table:

• Replaced with simple list of locations, showing number of locations, name and methods.
• Moved to a hidden "drawer" to make room for map. 
• Table shown/hidden by clicking button in top left corner.

 New elements:

• Search field for more efficient navigation.
• Better filtering options
• New buttons for activating/deactivating statuses in map.

Fix 

• Fix the import of piezometer data so that duplicate data is not added to existing method data.
• Add a spinner for location export.

Drag & move locations in the map

The Edit Location menu is updated with a new layout and the new functionality to drag-move locations directly on the map.

1. Enter Edit mode by clicking on a location and select "Edit location" in the pop-up or from the in-line menu on a row in the location table.
2. A yellow outline indicates which location is in "Edit mode". 
3. Left-press with your mouse over a location and drag to move it.

Change

• Location name, project name and project number cannot be empty. 
• Set the `Constant barometric pressure` to 101.325 kPa when importing a new Piezometer (PZ) from a .PVT file. Please note that this setting is not changed if you import data on an existing PZ.

Fix 

• Remove hardcoded GUID in *.GVR export. Hardcoded GUID caused GeoSuite to throw a duplication error.

New 

New Location View for Mobile

We have completely re-worked the Location View on mobile (small screens) based on extensive user feedback. With this update the Locations View is directly opened when clicking on a location in the map. The layout is now made cleaner to only shows  the most relevant information and enhance navigation for when using Field Manager during on-site work. The new design is also intended to reduce the amounts of clicks required to view information and upload data such as raw files and images. 

In addition, we are now working on a similar re-work to the Map View and the Locations Table. Stay tuned!

Import location from Excel

Added import locations with methods from Excel (*.xslx. *.xls). Templates for KOF, CSV and XLSX/XLS import can be downloaded from the Import locations page. 

Improvement 

- Added a page-link to the associated method and location for Files and Images in the Project attachments to make navigation easier. 

- We have added a more descriptive label to the Tags input field.

Fix 

Some bug fixes and small tweaks.

As we wrap up 2023, here’s everything new to Field Manager this year and a first-look at what’s coming next in 2024! 

• We launched the multi-organisation SaaS platform in March 
• New plot server for automated export of soundings and pore pressure time series
• Linked Projects (share data across projects)
• Batch editing of tags, methods and status
• New import and export formats such as KML/KMZ, GeoJSON and Excel
• New API endpoint for GIS
• Several upgrades to increase speed/performance on backend, map and tables

• Edit project details and add a project description
• Additional WMS services (NADAG, NVE, GRANADA)
• API Toolbox with features such as NGF-mengdeliste export and CAD symbols for borplan (https://toolsfm.onrender.com/)
• Lab data (we have built full support for 7 index tests and all of the most common advanced tests such as TX, CRS and DSS. We are currently testing this feature on selected projects and will tell you more about during our next user meetup in March!)

In the new year, our immediate priority will be to complete the development of creating and exporting Map Layouts (borplaner) and a big update to the mobile experience. The first phase of the mobile upgrade will be released in early January together with another new feature - and upgrade to the "Edit location" menu and the ability to drag-move locations directly on the map.

Improvement 

The Project attachments have been upgraded. Now, all files, images and raw data files for the entire project are shown in 3 separate tabs - Documents, Images & Data Sources. In addition, the import status of data source files is provided. Let us know what you think! 

Fix 

- Add error message if the KOF file contains TAB characters (not allowed).

- CSV import failure.
