Big release of new feature! There will be several lab related releases this week, with release notes as part of these announcements. First out: 

You can now view lab results directly in Field Manager. 🧪

By importing either *.PRV or *.AGS files, lab results can be brought into Field Manager. The results are displayed in the new tab called “Lab Index,” where you can also compare lab data with the results from the soundings at the same location. 📊

Values are shown when you hover over a result, and if you add a line, you will see all results at that depth. We have also made it possible to view shear strength results from cone, uniaxial, and vane tests on a log scale, making it easier to study details whether remolded strength indicates quick clay. 📉

An open file format for importing lab data into Field Manager will be introduced soon, as the PRV format commonly used today is highly limiting and significantly reduces the data quality of lab results. 💡

Change

We have one very important change this release, and that is the changes we have made to the SGF parser. This will affect how we read SGF sounding files. The goal is to catch more anomalies in the files and present the results in a more consistent way.

• Update the SGF parser to line by line parsing, such that K-codes no longer overrule during parsing
• Use the accept_language header for cross section plot endpoint
• Fix LAS export interpolation when columns don't have a start or end value
• Add cross section toggle instead of map layout toggle

• We have added method subtype to location export and import routines. The only method types supported for this are Soil Rock Sounding (SRS), Dynamic Probing (DP) and WeightSounding Test (WST).

•     We have renamed the "type" attribute for the Dynamic Probing (DP) method to "dynamic_probing_type" to avoid confusion with what it represents.

Improvement

 Huge improvement to the linked projects feature:

•         We now show all locations from a linked project, with status of the location. Previously we only showed approved locations.
•         You can now view geotechnical data on locations from linked projects. The data is "read only" and no changes can be made to the linked data. 
•         Linked locations are now shown in the location list. 

 Landing page: 

• The map on the landing page now filters with the search and table view.

•     Mobile: Button for uploading data directly in mobile view
•     Support for importing SGF formatted Dynamic Probing files with extension .dpsha, .dpl, .dpm, .dph, and .dpshb.

• We have removed the `location_type_id` attribute from the Location model. The attribute is no longer used and removed from all endpoints and return types.

What's NewNew :

• The map settings drawer now retains its state, providing a smoother user experience when toggling or navigating away and we moved settings cogwheel from the header into individual sections for easier access.

• Introduced location-based zoom for onshore areas.
• Optimized marker layer rendering for projects with over 2,000 locations by delaying loading.
• Only markers within the visible map extent (with a buffer) are now rendered, improving performance for large projects.

Some minor, but important updates this release. We are making changes for easier import of historical projects into Field Manager.

• Fix a crash importing SND files. We wrongly read any number greater than 100 as a method code and then crashed for some SND files.
